I might be interesting to buy the SMF Downloads Directory.
However, I've bumped on something which I'd really need for my website.

Here it goes:
Is it possible to show the latest submissions from a certain category, with an image thumbnail (for each) on a portal frontpage (tinyportal in my case)?

Great stuff. I'll purchase the mod in the next few days. I have a few modifications I would like to make to how the download links are displayed, but I can deal with that after I've made the purchase. I trust that you'll help me make the adjustments? One thing I want to do is enable the use of anchor text in the download links. When I purchase the mod I'll start topics for the various modifications I need. I thank you in advanced for your help.

I can do things for your as a custom work, but I won't be able to do modifications to make it look like you want to as regular support, I'd help you but not do it.

Don't worry. Unlike the portal block code, I don't intend for you to show me the code. I just need guidance. Making code changes are sometimes straight forward. I'll try making the changes myself first, and if need advice then I'll ask you. I'll try to do as much of the work as possible, but I don't know PHP that well so my coding may need a few corrections. Is that okay?
