Hi,

Is there by some chance a demo site for the social groups mod that I could possibly play around with? The reason I ask is because I'm interested in possibly purchasing it, but I'm very hesitant to spend the $29.99 without knowing that it will do what I think it can/will do, and I was hoping there was some kind of a demo or something that I could look at and play around with to see if I can get it set up the way I want it.

My forum is a site for fantasy writers, and right now we're using eFiction for the library, but we're looking for an alternative due to the fact that eFiction has no bridge for SMF, which means people have to register a second account on the library in order to use it. We're trying to find an easier way to make it so that the library is part of the forum and we can avoid having people having to register a new account on the current library and I THINK the social groups might be the answer, but I'd really love to be able to look at a demo or something that I can play around with and see if I can set it up the way I want/need to before I buy it.

If there's no demo, is there someone who currently has the groups set up that can take some screenshots of what it looks like on a forum? The screenshots for the mod don't really show me much as far as what the actual set up would look like goes.

Thanks!

Hello Jedi,

It's possible indeed, I've sent you a link in a personal conversation!

Awesome, thank you!

I just replied, 'cause I tried setting up groups and it's giving me an error/isn't really showing me all of what it's supposed to (i.e. the forum that's supposed to be made for a group, from what I gather from the info about the mod).

Topics are within social groups, a forum isn't created for them, about the error its because a legacy version is installed on the test forum, I'll try to setup a fresh installation with latest version asap.
